Dr. Celeste Wegrzyn, or “Dr. Celeste” as she is affectionately known by her patients, did her undergraduate training at Rutgers University - Douglas College where she received her degree in biology. She then attended dental school at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, earning her DMD degree. She did three further years of training in pediatric dentistry at Ohio State University - The Nationwide Children’s Hospital, in Columbus Ohio, where she was awarded her certificate in Pediatric Dentistry, as well as her master of science degree. It is here that she received extensive training in all aspects of restorative dentistry, nitrous oxide analgesia, hospital/surgical care, interceptive orthodontics, behavior management, growth and development, and pediatric medicine.
Dr. Celeste moved back to Connecticut where she has practiced pediatric dentistry in both Fairfield and New Britain. She became board certified in pediatric dentistry in 2007 and is currently on staff at The Hospital of Central Connecticut.
She has served on the Board of the Connecticut Society of Pediatric Dentistry and was the President in 2004. Dr. Celeste is also an active member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Connecticut State Dental Association. She has also volunteered her time at local pre-schools and kindergarten classes to educate children on dental health. She's a member of the Dental Society of Greater Southington.
Outside of the office, she loves spending time with her husband, their two children, and their dog, Chewy. They enjoy traveling, hiking, biking, swimming, and you guessed it, going to amusement parks together!
